Beatles History: Ringo Gets Married to Maureen Cox

One of the sadder Beatles facts on February 11, 2009 is that Ringo Starr got married to hairdresser Maureen Cox at Caxton Hall Registry. They honeymooned near Brighton. The irony is that Ringo himself had wanted to be a hairdresser before he became a Beatle, and even after joining the Beatles, it's a fact that Ringo thought he would make enough money from the group's fame in order to open a string of hair salons.
