And I Love Her

For "And I Love Her," the pertinent Beatles fact is that McCartney had the original idea, and Lennon helped with about a third of the song. Lennon cliamed the middle eight represented his contribution. It was recorded February 25, 26, and 27, 1964 at Abbey Road Studios, shortly after the group had returned from America. By the mid-70s the song has been covered by other artists 372 times. It was released on the Parlophone LP A Hard Day;s Night and on the United Artist's soundtrack A Hard Day's Night. The song was also released on July 20, 1964 in the U.S. and rose to number 12 on the Top 40 chart.

McCartney sings the vocal, and Lennon and Harrison both play accoustic guitars (Harrison uses a classical model). Starr plays bongos.
