I'm Happy Just to Dance with You

One of the Beatles facts important to "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You" is that this is a Lennon composition that Lennon simply didn't care for, so he gave it to George. Lennon said, "I couldn't 'a sung it." It was recorded March 1, 1964 at Abbey Road and was performed at Beatles concerts during that same year. It was released as a single in the U.S. on July 24, 1964 but didn't make the Billboard Top 40, a surprising fact inasmuch as radios played every Beatles song that was issued, either on LP or as a single. Sales of the single obviously didn't go anywhere since the track was on the United Artists soundtrack A Hard Day's Night.

Harrison sang lead vocal, with Lennon and McCartney providing backing vocals. Harrison played lead guitar, Lennon rhythm, McCartney bass, and Starr drums and bongos.
