Beatles History: Two Performances at Carnegie Hall

Among Beatles facts, one that few people know is that the Beatles not only performed at the Washington Coliseum on their first tour of America, but also gave two concerts at Carnegie Hall on February 12, 1964. The Beatles accomplished quite a bit with only three Sullivan appearances (the third of which was taped at a February 9 rehearsal) and two three concerts at two venues. The radio stations fed Beatlemania as much as as the Beatles live appearances, although the combination of appearing on Sullivan and the air play was an unbeatable combination.
