Lennon's Obsession with # 9

In the annals of Beatles facts, one of the most intriguing is that John was obsessed with the number nine. He was born on October 9, 1940, and his son Sean was born on October 9, 1975. Brian Epstein first met John at Liverpool's Cavern Club on November 9, 1961. In the Parlophone catalog, "Love Me Do" was song #4949. John first met Yoko on November 9, 1966. One of the earliest songs Lennon and McCartney wrote was "One after 909." There are many other examples of the number nine in John's life, and whether or not it has real significance depends on one's individual belief system. For John, it certainly did, considering tracks such as Revolution 9" and "#9 Dream."
